    Audio jack not working properly

Since yesterday my laptop has been doing something very weird. I can't get any audio through the headphone jack. The laptop's speakers work fine. When I plug in the headphones then the sound continues to come out of the speakers. When I check the sound devices it shows that the headphones are plugged in (the audio test works with the headophones) but the music will continue to play through the speakers. What's worng here and how do I fix it?

    Thanks.

If you haven't changed any sound configuration, try a System Restore back to a date when it did work properly. This may fix the problem.

Thanks, that worked. Still have no idea why it happened in the first place though.
