I am using Logitech X-540's and the center speaker is making a weird background static/mice like sound (i can't really explain the sound) when I am watching music or a movie. It isn't very noticeable during music, but during movies when there is a quiet part it is quite annoying. And for some reason when I turn the volume up on my speakers it starts making a very loud high pitched sound when it hits a certain volume.
I had the issue with 32 bit windows pro until I changed the speaker configuration from stereo to 5.1 sound. Recently, I have installed Windows 7 and the annoying sound is back. I have tried the realtek
drivers at the DFI website:
DFI LANParty:The Best OC Platform! Overclock, Motherboard, Intel, AMD
as well as the the latest vista/Windows 7
drivers I could find at the realtek webpage: R2.33
Nothing seems to help. I have tried about every combination of configurations to see if it will stop the sound, but its still there.
Any ideas?
