Looking to buy a 5.1 surround sound for computer, questions first
Hey guys, I want to get a 5.1 surround sound speaker system for my computer, but I have some questions first.
I have the GA-Z77-DS3H motherboard with ALC887, supports 7.1 surround sound, but there is only 1 output cable and 1 line in and 1 mic in, do 5.1 sourround sound setups like the X-530 need a separate plug for each speaker + sub or do they all join into one?
I could plug it into my 7850 as well, but which one will have better quality (or does it go thorugh my mobo anyways)?
Final question, I basically want to get the 5.1 for xbmc and gaming. Once I set up the 5.1 speaker hardware, is it plug and play? Eg if I have a video file that supports 5.1 or a game that supports 5.1, will it immediately play 5.1 or will I need to do some tweaking?
EDIT: Or are there any other 5.1 systems around the same price with same quality sound (I know 5.1 at $50 is stupid but I want it anyways)?
