Did you install all the drivers? Win 7 will install a lot of items, depending on your specific PC, but may not install everything or what it installs may not be compatible. The sound is one example, in most cases the PC vendor (or motherboard vendor in the case of a self built or custom built PC) sound drivers should be used. Non Vendor sound drivers many times either do not work or do not work correctly.
actually i had given it to a technician, who installed n returned me back i don't know what he has installed plz help me solve it
Please fill in the "My System Specs", we can't give you specific assistance without it.
Since you had a technician do i, I would go back to the Technician and have them make it work properly. It obviously was not properly reinstalled.
shall i re-install windows 7??
with this will my prob of sound be solved?

There is more to it than installing Windows. You must install all the device drivers that Windows will not install. Some devices, such as sound, will not work or work correctly if only Windows is installed.
A general installation (or reinstallation) is (1) Install Windows (2) Install motherboard chipset drivers (3) Install device drivers including Video, sound, ethernet, etc. And, the vendor's sound drivers should be installed.
