| | Stereo Mix Hi Folks, How do I make 'Stereo Mix' as default permenant. Everytime my friend starts or reboots his pc it changes to IDT High Definition Audio CODEC. New HP PC Windows 7 Home Prem 64bit |

| | It sounds like you are referring to two different items. The IDT High Definition Audio CODEDC is the drivers for the IDT sound chip (assuming that is what the person has). The Stereo Mix (also called System Mixer) is found in the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel, Recording section. In the Recording section is where you select and make the Stereo Mix the default playback device. |
