Sound is gone. Tried everything found on google. SOS.
Well, I did a fresh install of Windows (I've already got a BSOD thread in the corresponding sub forum), installed a couple of drivers here and there, and then after having all those BSODS and reboots, the sound is gone.
But, it's not that is "gone" like no drivers or stopped Windows Audio, no no, everything is still "there" but to give you a couple of examples:
-There's no "ping" sound when you click on the lever of the speakers (Right low corner, the speaker icon, where you can set your volume).
-Somehow, Windows Media can't play any file...because it doesn't find them or they are "damaged". This happens with the example music, mp3's. CDs on the other hand don't play, they just skip to the next song after 0.01 and keep doing so until reaching the end.
-Failure to play a test tone, both in Realtek (I press the play button but nothing comes out) and in the Windows Sound Screen.
-Youtube and Grooveshark are mute. If I play a song, there's no "sound" record on the Speaker Lever (If you play a song, or make a sound, a gray bar comes on top, and what you hear in green).
I have tried everything I could find: Reinstalling drivers (Latest one and old ones), Playing just with the "Windows" drivers (this is, uninstalling and just letting Windows detect the hard), Disabling special effects, Restarting the Audio Service.
In short: HELP.
