Connecting and configuring creative 2.1 speakers

Hi,
For a very long period, I have been using the headphone in my desktop PC and kept my creative 2.1 speakers aside .Now I need to use 2.1 speakers.I am not able to configure it properly and hence no sound coming in the speakers. Please let me know the windows sound configuration needed to use the 2.1 speakers in the PC.

Thanks

Normally that's done in your sound panel....ie Realtek or VIA.

What is the exact make and model of your mobo?

If you're using the onboard sound, it's from your mobo. If you are using an add on sound card it will be with the software/driver cd/dvd that came with the card.
