Win7 HTPC sound issue when hooked to home theater receiver
For a while now, I have been trying to figure how to fix this sound issue.
Up front: I'm running all the latest drivers needed
The issue: when I hook the my HTPC from its 3.5mm speaker out to the home theater receiver 3.5mm audio in, if there's no music playing or other non-actor sounds, I cannot hear the characters voices.
However, it all sounds normal when hooked to the TV with a 3.5mm to RCA Red/White audio cable.
Codecs? I've installed many of them and the issue persists. It has to be something with the way the connection sends the signal and it's received by the home theater box.
