    Audacy Multitrack Question

I downloaded Audacy and watched a couple of basic tutorials. I learned that you have to aline any additional tracks with the first. I have never had to deal with ALINING in any other recording software. Is there a setting in Audacy that automatically alines the tracks. I am doing head arrangements of original songs involving no more than 3 or 4 tracks.

I have a home recording studio using Sonar X2 software.

All recording programs are basically the same. Some just have more options than others.

When recording, to align additional recording tracks I just start at the beginning. That automatically aligns the tracks. For example if I have a Vocal track on track 1 and a guitar accompanyment track 2 and then later go back and add a bass track on track 3, I just start the bass track at the beginning and its automatically aligned.

As a side note, I'm currently doing a CD project for a semi-retired Nashville songwriter. All the songs are originals that he has written. The initial recordings are a voice track, drum track (I use an Alesis SR16 drum machine) and rhythm guitar track. I'm adding the other parts, bass, lead guitar, pedal steel guitar and MIDI keyboard.
