    Multiple audio inputs

    Hey.

I'm trying to do something a little quirky but have been having a lot of issues getting it to work.

I have an external device that is outputing audio to my front panel mic header (which goes to my ASUS Xonar Xense). I have my sound card echoing the audio from the front panel input so I can hear it in Windows.

This works fine except for when I attempt to use any application that requires the use of my microphone (such as Skype).

Windows automatically disables the front panel input so I can't hear what's coming through.

I want to be able to use both my FP input and my primary mic at the same time (connects directly into sound card).

Is this possible? I'm open to 3rd party software if Windows is unable to make it happen on its own.

    Thanks,
    David.

You should have a "Line In" jack on the ASUS and that is what you should be using for input, especially if its a stereo input as the mic jack is only mono (the other connection is for 5VDC that is needed for computer mic's).

You should have the default recording device set as the "Stereo Mix" (System Mixer) then whatever is input should be heard. And then you should also be using the front panel mic jack.
