Windows 7: Computer plays sound through only one speaker/headphone with fuzziness

Hello everyone, My computer is playing sound out only the right speaker or headphone, I've tried multiple speakers, headphones and earphones and they all do the same in both the rear green jack and the front headphone jack.



Also the audio that does come through appears to be crackly or fuzzy for a few seconds every now and again. It appears to be pretty random and not triggered by certain sounds, e.g I would be listening to a part of a song and it would get slightly fuzzy but if I rewind and play that part again it would be fine.

Im guessing either my sound card has broken or I need a driver to fix this but I have no idea how to go about finding a sound driver? I tried the microsoft automatic driver thing but it believes I have the best ones at the moment?

So yeah any light on this situation would be much appreciated!
