see speaker icon in taskbar ?
right click the icon
you see " playback device and recording device ?
click recording
click microphone icon
and then click propeties
go to level Tab,
you see that sound level, just make 100%,your honey will hear your sounds

or if you can see microphone icon..
don't panic,it must be disabled..
go to recording tab,
right click,
show all disable device...
and then you finish
