Windows 7: Microphone not Working ?

I buyed several headset with microphones but its still not working.
I have put the headset wires correct but still not working .
I have a non-branded headset with mic but I tested it on other computers and it works but on my pc its not working .
Any Help please ?

see speaker icon in taskbar ?
right click the icon
you see " playback device and recording device ?
click recording
click microphone icon
and then click propeties
go to level Tab,
you see that sound level,just make 100%,your honey will hear your sounds

or if you can see microphone icon..
don't panic,it must be disabled..
go to recording tab,
right click,
show all disable device...
and then you finish
