The Gigabyte site only shows a Rev 1.3 and 1.4 for that motherboard. I did a search for rev 2.1 but did not find anything.
The Rev 1.4 uses RealTek audio and the 1.3 uses VIA HD Audio. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

Ok, I didn't see that when I accessed that motherboard page (the gigabyte site can be tricky, I have a gigabyte motherboard - a GAZ77X UD5H).
Now back to the sound problem. Exactly what is the sound problem? You mention the mic, is that the problem no mic sound? or it there more to it than that. More than "it doesn't work" is really needed for me or someone else to try and help you.
What is the status of the RealTek sound in the Device Manager? Does it show working properly or an error code?
What is set as the Default Playback device in the Sound panel? (The "Speakers" should be set as default).
Do you get speaker sound from the rear GREEN speaker jack? Do you get headphone sound from the Headphone jack? | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

the answers for your question are:
1)the status of the RealTek sound in the Device Manage show working properly
2) the Default Playback device in the Sound panel is speakers
i only have one rear GREEN jack where my headphone is connected
i think that the problem is that my system could not detecte my headphone | My System Specs | | |

Go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the entry for the RealTek to highlight it and then LEFT click "Uninstall" DO NOT check the box to also uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound.
If there were some type of corruption between Windows and the Sound this will usually fix it. Then try your headset | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

If the headphone is connected to the speaker jack it will only detect "speakers" not the headset. In order for the headset to be detected it would need connected to the front panel headphone jack.
We got some of your specs. What case do you have? and do you have the front panel headphone jack connected to the motherboard? And if you do are you using the HD Audio connection or the AC97 connection from the front panel? The HD Audio connection will detect what is plugged in.
But, apparently there is no audio at all from the PC's sound device.
Did this ever work? If its never worked it suggests there is a hardware problem with the motherboard. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7
