Windows 7: Windows 7 Sound Mixer

There was a "feature" in Vista where you could assign audio sources to different audio outputs using the Sound Mixer.

I'm talking about this one: Windows Vista Volume Mixer Trick – Kevin Chiu



This used to work fine when i was on Vista but isn't working on Win 7, every time i switch devices all the applications that i have open goes to the default one.

Anyone knows if this is still possible or was a bug and it has been fixed?
