| | My problem was not solved by driver fusion. It persists. I'm thinking about taking it to a shop because I've done just about everything. Reinstalled Windows, reset the BIOS....And it's an Asus motherboard btw |

| | Solution Found Guys i have found the solution to our problem. Check intel site for the following driver. You can find it under intel motherboards and Windows XP. Do not worry it also works for 7 as Legacy driver, perfectly. AUD_allOS_D20001.0x_PV_IDTGUI_v105_Legacy Happy new year |

| | Thanks guys for your help. What I ended up doing is getting a sound card, and it's better in more ways than one. I never got a chance to try that intel driver specifically but I'm not gonna mess with anything now that my system is up and running great again |
