Need help with audio devices! (Video Game Recording Setup)
Ok, so atm I'm using a USB Logitech G35 headset with microphone. I don't have any external speakers plugged into my computer and my monitor doesn't have any speakers. The G35 is my only source for listening to sound on my comp.
So if I was to record footage of video games for instance, how would I record the sound from the game and skype/mumble chat, whilst still being able to hear both the game and chat on my headset?
To simplify it, I want to know if the following is achievable:
Headset - Play Game Sound & Chat (via Skype/Mumble)
Fraps/Dxtory - Record Game Sound & Chat (via Skype/Mumble)
at the same time
When I've recorded little clips in the past, 'Stereo Mix' seems to be playing game audio on the recordings, but I can't hear it via my headset at the same time
Would I need to buy a splitter cable for instance?
