What's a good sound card for Win7 Home Edition

Installed Windows 7 Home Edition on an older Compaq SR1616NX. Seems to run really well after I installed the Vista legacy video driver. The sound doesn't work though. Could someone recommend a PCI sound card that'll work with this OS? Thanks.

Doesn't work as in broken, or doesn't work as in you can't find drivers for it?

I guess can't find drivers. It worked fine with WinXP.

Assuming you are using the onboard sound (Realtek AC'97) go here,

    Realtek

click on AC'97 Audio Codecs (Software) and follow through till you get to the download page, and download th Windows 7 driver.

Thanks, that did the trick. Anyone know where I can find the WinXP driver for my Ensoniq ES1371 and 1373 multimedia sound card. Tried the Creative site but the search turned up nothing. I'm sure it would it in compatibility mode.
