Headphone questions

Hi

I have always been listening to music when I have been gaming but lately I have started to be interested in headphones that sounds really nice & that focus more on the sound quality but since I have never really bothered much before I am a bit clueless and all I can do is read reviews, I bought a pair of Denon AH-D510 and they did not sound nice for me with my Asus Xonar DG sound card and after some listening I found the ear cup being a bit small and hurting a bit, so I have been reading up on these ones Sennheiser HD 598 and everyone gives them a thumbs up.

Currently I am using these Tt eSPORTS Shock Gaming Headset with the 7.1 Virtual Speaker Shifter and dolby headphone activated and EQ mode is set to Treble and I think this sounds ok, but if I turn them off and use the Hi-Fi button they sound lack of words but deep & not clear anymore.

So if anyone could enlighten me & give me a few tips on a good pair of headphones that don't cost to much. 300 dollars would be the max for me

Read up and seen a lot of youtube videos and regardless of how much a fan I am of corsair stuff but headset don't seem to be their strong side same as their keyboards & mice, had them and they broke in about 6 months & caused me BSOD, why im looking for just headphones since the mic on my webcam seem to do a really good job
