    No You Tube Audio

My computer sound works fine and Music recordings play fine.
You Tube video plays fine, but there is no audio. The Mute is
not on. It has been working normally, both audio and video until
today when I tried to play a video.
I've looked all over but all settings seem normal. Any ideas?

    Youtube uses Flash player.

Reinstall the Adobe flash player and see if that fixes it. Many times audio problems are fixed by reinstalling the flash player.

Re-installed Flash Player. Still no You Tube audio.
Device Manager shows Realtek under Audio.
In Control Panel Audio, Realtek is default. No others listed.
Uninstalled and re-installed Realtek - still no You Tube audio.

Do you have the "Stereo Mix" (may be called System Mixer) in the Control Panel/Hardware and Sound and finally the Sound panel Recording section?

Check the Recording section panel. If Stereo Mix is there, enable it and select it as the default recording device. If its not showing, RIGHT click in an empty space in that panel and then click to show Disabled and Disconnected devices. Stereo Mix should now show up and you can enable it and set it as default recording device. That may take care of the problem.

Otherwise, use the System Restore and restore the PC back to a date when it did work. If its not some hardware problem, this should fix it.

    Hi.

Try using a Different Browser - just to rule out weather its a browser issue.
