Nvidia and Realtek = no sound

I will try answer and explain as best I can but i'm not all that good with computers. I built my own a few years back but thats it.

Hi ! So.. 1 month ago I had perfect sound. Left home, came back, no sound anymore.

I have Realtek audio drivers and nvidia so i'm assuming i have an integrated sound card. I have a tv (used as second monitor) plugged into my pc via HDMI cable. That detects sound from my pc and is listed under 'LCD TV' on my sound mixer.

No speakers or headphones etc. are working on my computer. Back or front ports. My back ports have never worked anyway but now my frontports arn't working at all. It doesn't detect anything and my realtek audio manager doesn't detect them. All my HD audio manager shows me is a HDMI input.

I tried opening up my pc but I have no clue what i'm looking for. I've reinstalled my realtek drivers but that didnt help.

I semi remember something like this happening before and i'm sure I fixed it by choosing my sound card on my bios to be on 'auto'. (which it is I checked, is that right?)

I'm using windows 7 btw.

Edit: Also, is it possible my soundcard is broken? Or would I not be getting sound from my tv/second monitor if it was?

Solved: I fixed it, yay! I went back in my bios and changed my onboard audio to enabled rather than auto. backports still don't work but you win some you lose some. Still got my front ports
