Now I Have these Speakers

this is a very informative thread thanks to all the posters,it was very helpful

Now I Have these Speakers - Creative Inspire 2500 Speakers - Newegg.com

Now my Questions are -

1.Why should in Enable loudness equalization?
2.Which device should i choose from the analog back-panel popup?why?
3.Should I enable Front left & right and/or Virtual surround? Why?
4.are any of these enhancements/Equalizer necessary?
5.My Speakers inline volume control is busted. So If i use a 3.5mm male to male Cable for sound input from PC to Speaker , is it ok? Does it Have to be gold plated?

Hello Stonecaper sorry mate I am having a little difficulty in following what you are trying to do

Are you just plugging in the back panel? If so then it is usually just the green socket.

If you are having problems with the on board sound - personally I would install an Asus Xonar DG sound card it has a really nice interface / control panel with most of the effects you would ever need.

They are not expensive either and very simple to fit. I have them in my machines as I couldn't be bothered with the on board stuff it's crappy by comparison.
