    Can't mute Stereo Mix

Hello! I have Stereo Mix enabled (in Order to play Cod4mp as I don't have a mic and it will crash with Stereo mix disabled) but I want to mute it for when I play other games because people playing with me can hear my game sounds, I tried muting it on the Sound menu in Control panel (Sound> Recording > stereo mix > properties > levels) but whenever I play a sound or something in my PC people can still hear it, today I did a sound test in Skype with the Sound menu opened to see what was the problem and to my surprise I noticed the Stereo mix level varies on its own when playing a sound and unmutes itself (even though I had the volume on 0 and crossed out the speaker thingy) I really want to fix this as it's really a hassle to enable (stereo mix, that is) it and disable it everytime I want to play something

    Thanks a lot in advance!

COD4MP has had the mic bug forever. The fix would be to leave Stereo Mix however you want it, get a mic and plug it in to play COD4MP.
