How do I change audio output to mono?
or is there a way to change stereo output to one speaker?
I thought updating realtek will solve this problem, but it doesn't.

Oh. Then you can switch between left and right by doing this:
- Left-click the speaker icon in the Notification Area
- Click the speaker icon that's located above the volume adjuster/fader
- Switch to the Levels tab
- Click the "Balance" button for your main output for your speakers (it should be the top-most one)
- The top two faders in the Balance window are for Left and Right. Moving a fader all the way to the right is 100% volume, and all the way to the left is 0%, or Muted.
- Click OK when you're done adjusting them as you want.
Actually I want the sound to be transferred to the other speaker. I mean if the right one is muted, then the sound that is originally from the right one won't be heard from the left one.
That's why maybe mono audio output is the solution, is there any way to enable it?
this is for gaming, not music where you can switch between mono and stereo via player
Why are you trying to do this? Not really a reasonable expectation, here's why:
MONO will just do one channel, doesn't merge them.
Even if you managed to merge them, I would expect painful distortion of the sound.
Again, why do you want to do this?
because I want to use headset only on my right ear.
so, it's impossible after all?
You`d have to rip open the audio cables to do that, you could merge the 2 channels together. Still not sure if it would work, but in theory it should.
They sell headsets with 1 speaker, you`d have to check the packaging to see if both channels go to the 1 speaker.
