Thanks. I have a "High Definition Audio Device". How do I make it the default device for recording when it's not listed as available for recording, disconnected, or disabled?

That's a start, if you follow either step 5 or 6 in the tutorial to fill in your system specs, it will show in the bottom left of all your posts when clicked on.

Everything has been enabled (two microphone high def devices (not plugged in) and a line in high def devices (not plugged in).

The "set as default device" option is greyed-out on all three devices.

So, I can't complete step 6 of the last link.

Have you tried plugging something in to see if your able to set as default?
