    Experiencing problem with sound on MPC


    Last night i attached my laptop to to my HD tv Via HDMI cable to watch something. I was using media player classic. After film finished i disconnected cable. This morning i went to use media player classic and there was no sound, still have sound with other media software. Sound works if i plug it back into my TV.

    I followed this FAQ - Media Player Classic
    sound works on the stage 4 then followed to the end and sounds stops working please could i get some help as i use media player daily

    Use the System Restore function and restore the PC back to an available restore date when it did work correctly. See if that fixes it.

    Just tried system restore it didnt fix it

    additional information it use of headphones does not work either and sound work if i plug hdmi caple back in to tv

    Go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the entry for your PC sound card to highlight it. Then LEFT click "Uninstall". DO NOT uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. IF there were a corruption or conflict between the sound and Windows this will fix it.
