WASAPI not working does it need soundcard capable

Using JRMC I cant get sound when I switch to WASAPI, only direct sound & wave output works.

If I switch to ASIO or WSAPI there is no sound & the program hangs.
I have a creative audigy value sound card is it not capable of WASAPI or does it not work on windows7 x64 version yet?

If you are using WASAPI, the output from your media player has to match the capabilities of the card, otherwise all you'll get is silence.

So, if it is 24-bit sound capable, you have to send 24-bit output to it.

Strange things happening, Its indeed a 24 bit card & I cant play the sound using 24bit, but when I change the Speaker properties to 16 bit,48000 DVD quality & in JRMC it still remains 24bit as output the sound plays fine using the WASAPI.

Bit confused whats happening what I am doing wrong?

Too many channels? Buffer length (should be 2000 ms methinks..)?

Dunno, I test WASAPI with foobar, and it plays 24 bit - but I think that it sends 44100 Hz sound..

I have 4.0 speakers & tahts what I have chosen in options
I have set 3 sec buffer length

I now see many sub options related to WASAPI so I guess I need to experiment with them.
