Muting in Windows causes linux get no audio?

This problem occured after I added linux mint 14 to my Dell Xps 15 L502x. I have Realtek HD Audio Driver installed in Windows 7 Home Premium.
*I mute audio in Windows 7 and restart to boot Linux Mint. Audio Volume controls are available but I cant hear any sound even If I set it to full.
*I restart and boot to Win 7 and Unmute audio, and then reboot to Mint, I play music and Speaker works.
Is there a way to Unmute speakers with LinuxMint irrespective of Volume position in Windows?

    Hi Imrankhan,

Please let us know the exact model number of the audio card installed on the system. Also, let us know if you have tried to update the Windows driver first and then the driver for Linux Mint.

Also, check this link which might be useful in resolving this issue:
