Computer Not Loud Enough?

Got a Windows XP and I tried using my headphone set on it but for some reason,it isn't as loud as my other computer(both are desktops) which is a Windows 7. I increased the sound on basically everything I could get my hands on but there wasn't much of a difference?
Anyone know the problem?

A average sound card can be cheap, a great sound card can be expensive.

A have no idea where you can get a sound card from in Ireland.

I`m sure 1 of your country men will jump in and help out.

Women with loud-screaming baby twins ask me to keep it down. Everyone else leaves the room. I can't watch movies without subtitles. ...

Hello, my pc (specs below) often freezes, after which turning it off is the only option, or it shuts down without warning, after which it will try to reboot. Since about a couple days ago, my computer is making loud fan noise
even though I have only a browser on with no video. I tried re-booting it but sames problem. It seems like some sort of fan problem because usually I can feel the heated air coming out from the side but right now I don't feel it so I guess the heat cannot escape because the fan wouldn't blow...

I've tried with SpeedFan and BIOS. In BIOS,when I click enter ,I have only 2 options,3000 RPM or IGNORED. At SpeedFan,I...
