    7.1 Sound Card needed


    Hi everyone I currently have a dell precision 670 with a Foxconn LS-36 Motherboard and I need a 7.1 surround sound- sound card. The only problem is the the PCI slot is being completely blocked by a GeForce GTX 660TI graphics card. And the only other slots available are PCIX connectors that are about 5 inches long.

    and put it in the 1x PCI-E slot.

    I'm trying to find more info on this old PC, but so far it doesn't look like it has a PCIeX1 slot. Its an old Win2000/XP machine.

    Update: Looks like it has a PCIe port (#15) in motherboard layout. Dell describes it as a PCIe4/8 slot.
