5.1 sound without front panel?
I have an integrated VIA HD Audio on my MB, and while I know I won't be able to use my microphone during this, I was wondering if there is any way to get the 3 cables for my 5.1 in the 3 jacks that are on my mb. A good front panel would cost me the same as a 5.1 PCI card, so I don't really see the advantage in getting that over a new PCI card. I searched but haven't been able to find any way to re-route the signal.
Any help is appreciated.
Edit: silly me, by going into Sound then going Properties on my speakers is shows me how to connect them to the back panel in order to get a 5.1
