More info is needed for someone to try and help you.

What is the Dell model number? (NOT the service tag number).

Is there anything you are using when this happens? e.g. were you playing a game? listening to streaming audio/video from the internet?

Do you have the correct Dell supplied sound driver installed?

The Windows Audio Service has stopped working.
Just to be technical I would open an elevated command prompt and enter:

    net start AudioSrv

And that would get all your sounds back. If not, did your speakers come loose from the audio jack or what?
Is your speakers getting power (check the wall socket + power jack in the speakers)?
How about muting, like johnsmith45jock suggested?
Is there any problems with Device Manager (any yellow triangles)?
       Warning
Some speakers take batteries. Depending on the type of speakers and setup, you may need to replace the batteries or simply plug them into a charger.

    Always handle batteries with care.
    • Don't mix old and new batteries
    • Don't mix batteries of different types
    • Do not recharge alkaline batteries
    • Do not dispose batteries in a fire
    • Don't dismantle batteries
    • The electrolytes of the batteries are highly corrosive and could hurt you or damage the sound equipment. Should some of the electrolyte get on you, simply wash with soap and water.
    • If you're using rechargeable batteries, ensure that you're not over-charging them as you could damage the equipment, get injured or start a fire.

Do you have the correct sound driver? from Gigabyte. Look at what is shown in Device Manager. If it shows "HD Audio Codec" that is the generic, basic function, Windows installed sound driver and not the proper sound driver. That is the first thing to look at.
