The "Intel Audio" is not the correct PC sound driver. The Intel Audio is probably for the HDMI audio.

Go ASUS and download and install the correct sound driver for this Laptop as the first step.

What do you show in the Device Manager for "Sound, Video and Game Controllers". Does any of the entries have an error code and if so, what is it.

The RealTek drivers are the correct ones for the PC sound. If they are not installing, I wonder if the sound was accidentally disabled in the BIOS?

    According to here,

ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Drivers and Download U52F

that laptop has Realtek audio. It may take installing the chipset driver first to get the Realtek to show up.

I don't have a listing of what is in your BIOS. However, it could be listed in the Peripherals section, listed as "on board" audio, "Integrated" audio, etc.

If you installed the chipset drivers and then the RealTek again and its still not showing up, there are two most likely possibilities, either an issue with the device in the BIOS or a hardware failure. If there is an option to reset the BIOS back to defaults, try that and see if it helps.
