Sound come and go, no microphone recognition after warranty?

Okay i have a HP laptop DV6t-7000 Been a great laptop, the light around the HP symbol on the back started to flicker, had 10 days left on the warranty in fears of it being a greater issue i sent it in. Well the replaced the speakers for some reason, when i received it back i had no sound out of the brand new speakers they had installed. Dealt with them sent it back they send it back to me and the speakers work then they stop and i have to go "test" them to i guess wake them back up? I also realized my mic wont work tried recording and it said it had no mic however its in the recording devices and everything is set to default same with speakers, i think i had the issue of the speakers before and it was something simple but i have yet to find anything, my issue is im in school, i NEED my laptop we have assignments due every week that require it, im tired of dealing with HP and have put up with it now i want to try and fix it myself or im going to have a real nice talk with HP about this and find someone local for them to use.

Im running windows 7 professional x64

    Thanks!

Lurch mate get it done by those ratbags and make sure they do it properly - don't take it back until it is going. Otherwise you are going to be up for either a huge bill to fix it or do it yourself or buy another machine because the repairs are NOT cheap - take an old geezers word for it. I had a 500GB HDD replaced in a A200 Toshiba and it cost me over $500!!

Years ago, I had a similar issue with HP. I ended up calling the corporate office in CA, US. I was assigned a case manager there, don't remember title now. But, he contacted the repair department where the computer had been worked on. He insured me the computer would be fixed correctly, and it would be expressed shipped, both ways to expedite the repair time. The next morning, FedEx showed up at my door. The guy stood there while I quickly packed the computer in the supplier HP box he had bought. Three days later, I received the computer back, this time it was repaired correctly. The guy from Corporate called me later that same day to make sure the computer was in good working condition.

I think if you contact HP Corporate, explain your issue and situation at school. They will do everything in their power to get your issue resolved in a timely manner.
