Cannot make calls on google or skype

Hi. Last year I wanted to record a song off of my computer. I fixed the setting to do that. Now I cannot figure out how to return the setting's speakers to work to pic up external sounds.

Which setting did you change?

i don't know. After reading your reply, i went back to the microphone settings and have been trying to figure out what I changed. All I know is that I read some instruction on a site last year that went step by step on how to change the mic to pic up internal sound. I followed the steps and now cannot get it to pic up external sounds.

So you set it to record what would normally be pushed through to your speakers?

yes

Can you see your microphone in the list under the "Recording" tab in your sound settings?

The built in mic, right? yes. I see it.

If that's the one you're using, yes. Does it have a green checkmark by it?

yes. There's a green check mark by "Integrated Microphone Array"

Ok. If you right click inside the tab and click "show disabled devices" and "show disconnected devices", does anything new show up?
