Only 16Bit .

For being a mash up DJ. I need 24Bit for the sound quality.
Unless you're playing your music from DVD-A, it is all 16 bit anyway.

His point is that all commercial music is distributed as 16 bit. If it's been upsampled to anything higher by an end user, that's not adding any quality. It's just taking existing information and making it larger. That doesn't add any quality at all.

DVD-A is a different story though. That is 24 bit depth.

I have an older IDT HD sound card that is almost impossible to get drivers for because the company stopped making drivers for it after XP. This audio is built into an ECS Motherboard. Luckily I have found HD drivers that work with this for Vista and Windows 7. Took me a week of searching to find.

A mod community has made some drivers but most of them do not work for the speakers, only headphones.

These drivers work for both and give you all the Sigma Tel software you need like an audio control panel with audio mixer and EQ.

I should note that Win 7 does have built in drivers that will work with this audio, But it does not have the Sigma Tel software that works with this card. With these drivers, now you will have the software too.

This does Not work for HDMI only SPDIF.

You can download it from DriverGuide after you sign up for a free account here: ECS Elitegroup GF7050VT-M Driver Download

Or if you want to search for another place to get it, this is the file name: IDT095_1127_1.zip.

I hope this helps someone.

Long time since I've been on this site, purely haven't needed to considering how great 7 is.

Cheers to everyone who has submitted to this thread.

Still have problems with my Realtek AC/97 card upon fresh install windows will not find any working drivers for the card. If your having difficulty with a similar card pm me or let me know somehow I can give you the drivers that got it working for me
