Sound Recorder time limits

Is there any limit to the length of time I could record? Could I read a children's book to my granddaughter and record and save it?

I'm not sure.

A better alternative to the sound recorder is the free (and popular) Audacity sound recorder. It does not have any limits.

Audacity: Free Audio Editor and Recorder

I have heard you need to be careful when installing this as they have recently added some bloatware to the downloads. Look at the install carefully and uncheck any add ons so you only get the audacity program.

It works wonderfully with little or no background noise and good signal level (sound level is set...
