well my pc is using 2.55gb ( i have NO idea why ) out of my 4gb total.
Skype is using 175k , Idle( not using it ) ...
Chrome from 113k to 160k , 4 processes that are that level .. the rest are smaller

I was planning on getting 4 more gigs of ram .. you think that might be the problem ?

Simply put; yes!. because as i mentioned before; if your system does not have enough free ram to support several open tabs or windows at once; it will in fact cause applications like youtube that use audio and video to studder or react very slowly and poorly. I know this for a fact because i have experienced this myself on more than one occasion as a on-demand computer repair tech.

I bet it's not the ram

I have 8GB of ram and I'm using like 3-4GB Max (ALWAYS) and I have exactly the same problem, it's not just with chrome, even if media player is playing something the sound breaks if I click around or do whatever... even when something is loading same thing. I re-installed the drivers but no luck. This is TOO annoying considering the fact that I play music on my computer and recording stuff. :/ If anyone knows the solution please help

    Audio Keeps breaking up

    I just purchased a new HP Probook 450 G2

When I listen to the media player or online music the audio keeps breaking up as if there is electricity going through.
