No sound since reinstall of windows 7

I recently re install windows 7 on to computers. On the first one sound is fine on 2nd one there is no sound at all. On checking in volume mixer the System sound does not appear to be working, although the speakers are. In device manager it says drivers are up to date. Could anyone help please or is anyone able to do a remote control of my PC to fix it ? Regards Rosie

Try this for starters: Start Orb>Type Troubleshooting, click on the link. Under Hardware and Sound select Troubleshoot audio playback. Follow the prompts.

Right click the volume icon and make sure the proper playback device is chosen.

Could you post a pic of device mgr with the sound icon expanded ?

On the window you just put up, click on Realtrek High Definition Audio to select it. At the bottom of that window click on Configure. Afterwards, select Properties tap there, as well. Make sure are your settings are correct.
