    Headphones with mic

Help I just purchased a pair of Sentry Headphones with mic they only have one plug in to plug into either mic plugin on side of laptop or the headphone plug they did not come with any instructions. When I plug them in they are not recognized by windows 7 home when I tried setting them up I could only hear out of one side of headphones and couldn't get microphone to work at all does anyone have any Ideas what I am doing wrong.

That headphone/mic combo sounds like it has a connector for an iPhone/iPad and PS/4 gaming console. This type has a "Tip/Ring/Ring/Sleeve" conector If this is what you have, you will have to get an adapter that splits that into two stereo plugs to use on a PC.

No problem. That's what we are here for. You are not the first one to post with this same thing and probably won't be the last.
