windows 7 creative sound card issues

    Hi there

basically i just built myself a new computer and installed W7 HP 64 bit

my sound card is a creative sound blaster audigy 7.1 se, i have installed the drivers and in device manager it picks up the sound card

but when i try to access the eax settings or anything in that part it says "the audio device supported by this application is not detected.

also when i have my 5.1 set up plugged into the sound card all i get when i switch the speakers on is like a constant buzzing sound.

    any help would be appriciated

    Matt

think ive found the issue. ive just tried my old 5.1 system that i was giving to my friend and through the realtek output 4/5 speakers work through test, which means something is up with my logitech 5.1 speakers that ive only had 1 month. so think i shall be taking them back

still though when i try playing music i only get sound through the sub and 1 other speakers with my old set

managed to sort it this morning with a solution from another thread

the only thing is that 2 of the speakers sound a little bit crackly? i had this issue with xp on my old 5.1 surround set also, and now on Windows 7 it does it with both my old and new set so maybe the sound card itself has a slight issue?
