How do I set an audio file to play daily at a set time

    Hi,

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to set a one minute audio file to play automatically at a set time daily on my laptop (Windows 7 Home premium) . I only want this file to play once and to not repeat as I will not be in the room to turn off the clip at the time that I want it played. I have tried this through task scheduler but have been unable to get the file to work. If people think that this is the most suitable route to take then I would appreciate some additional guidance on how to get my audio file playing correctly through task scheduler. If anybody else can think of another way that I could get this file to play (perhaps not even through my laptop) I would be more than open to other ideas.

    Thanks for any assistance,

    Start a program

A couple of years ago, I was able to get the Task Scheduler to run IrfanView, which was configured to load and play a sound when the task was triggered.

    The command format I used:
"Full path to Irfanview" "Full path to sound file"
For example, the command I used at the time was:
    "E:\Programs 7\File Readers\IrfanView\i_view32.exe" "I:\Audio Files\Wav Files\PC Sounds (Other)\bells.wav"
I just recreated the task and it works on my PC.
Here is my task (uploaded as a txt file):
