How to disable audio jack?

    How to disable audio jack?


    My headphones broke off inside and I have no way of getting them out at the moment, is there anyways for me to disable my audio jack I'm pretty sure I already have it says sounds are coming out of my speakers but I hear nothing help?

    As you have a desktop (that's what you list) you can remove the connector at the motherboard for the front panel headphone/mic jacks. Unless HP has a proprietary connection, there will be a connector for the "HD Audio" (Or on older systems AC97).

    If its not marked on the motherboard, check the HP documentation to find it.

    That will get the speakers working again, until you can get a new front panel assembly for the case.

    Some board call the audio connector "AAFP", I don't know why though.
