Older game (Soldier Of Fortune Platinum) EAX issue Hi all,Just installed Windows 7 7600 build v. and installed a 9 years old game (Soldier of fortune) wich support EAX.Under vista was working perfectly with eax enabled within game, and sound drivers SBX-FI Series Support Pack 2.0,and latest Alchemmy version. Now when i choose to enable EAX within game,i get default sound which is terrible.Any one knows how to get it work?Has any1 tried this game under Windows 7?
I even tried to install several creatrive drivers, and even other Alchemy veersions, still the same problem ingame. No EAX
I would appreciate any help.
Thx
P.S. My soundcard is XFI Fatality | My System Specs |

At least you were able to get SOF to run. I've been trying to get Soldier of Fortune Gold to run on the release version Windows 7 64-bit, and so far I've failed. The install seemed to go OK but when I try to run the game, a Windows dialog box immediately pops up and says "SoF has stopped working" with no more details. I've tried changing the compatibility modes, but nothing I've tried will let me run it. Any ideas? | My System Specs | | OS Win7 Home Premium x64 CPU Intel Core i7/860 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2 Memory 4 GB PC 1333 Graphics Card Nvidia GTS 250 (1 GB mem) Sound Card Onboard Realtek ALC888B PSU 700W Hard Drives Western Digital 500 gig, 7200 rpm |

I have SOF Platinum running on my Win 7 64 bit installation. Its working in the native Win 7 mode. If it won't run in native Win 7 mode, try Vista or even XP compatibility modes. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

The problem is their are no creative drivers out as of yet that support EAX as far as I know. I have a new (just installed last week) SB Xfi Titanium Fatality sound card and in the EAX is available in the "Entertainment Mode", although I'm not using that as I have mine set for Audio Creation mode. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

Update - I set my SB for the "Entertainment Mode", then enabled EAX and set it to Jazz hall. I then started SOF and tried to change to EAX but it will only accept "default". Looks like it may be a SOF issue rather than EAX, at least in my case. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number My Own Build OS Windows 7, 64 bit Home SP1, Win 8 Pro 64 bit CPU Intel i7 3770 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H Memory 16GB GSkill Ripsaw F3-14900CL9Q-16GBXL Graphics Card Sapphire HD7770 Sound Card RealTek Monitor(s) Displays Viewsonic VA2448 Series 24" LED Screen Resolution 1920X1080 Keyboard Kensington wired Mouse Logitech Wireless PSU Antec High Current Gamer HCG-620M Modular Case Coolermaster HAF XM Cooling Corsair H80 Liquid cooling with aftermarket Nexus quiet fans Hard Drives 240GB Intel 520 SSD for Win 7

If sof works with eax enable under Windows 7 then it will work having the "Game mode" ONLY.
But it seems that creative Alchemy doesnt work on older games that support eax under Windows 7.Not as yet, hope they will release a new Alchemmy version for Windows 7 soon. | My System Specs | | Older game (Soldier Of Fortune Platinum) EAX issue problems?
