Is the headset detected by the PC? USB headsets DO NOT use the PC's sound card. They take the digital audio data and convert it to analog audio in the headset. Since the headset converts the digtal to analog, may be a problem in the headset. Is there another PC you can try the headset to see if it works or has the same problem?

Can you try the headset on a different PC? That will tell you if the headset is good or bad.

Yes its right way, just cross check the device to other PC for working, i think it may be headset problem.
