Lenovo, windows 7 64, no sound

    Hello,
I see many similar threads here but no one helps me to solve an issue with sound on my desktop computer Lenovo with 64 bit windows 7 OS.

In Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers I have listed Realtek High Definition Audio and under properties of that message "This device is working properly" appears.
From that point I think sound should be working.

On the back of computer I have headphones plugged in, I thing properly.
Lenovo subsystem see that jacks are plugged in.

However, in taskbar, there is speaker symbol on which is little red X and when I put a mouse pointer over it it gives popup message The Audio service is not running.
When I press right mouse button over that icon and choose "Sounds" a new window pops with several tabs such is: Playback, Recording, Sounds, Communications. Under Playback and Recording tab here is a text: "No audio device installed".

Is here something I can do to get my audio working?

First suggestion. Go to the Device Manager, RIGHT click on the RealTek entry and then LEFT click "Uninstall". DO NOT check the box to also uninstall the drivers. Restart the PC and when Windows starts it will detect and reinstall the sound. If there were any Windows corruptions, this will fix it.

    Solution to the sound

    Hallo,

Am here to solve your problem once and for good, you need to dowload an application called ' realtek High defination audio driver' . When you download it, it looks like it is not a good application, but that is what you need to keep downloading, when it is done, it will ask u to restart your computer, after that the sound will be back, and everything will be right.

If the answer helps you, and you realy want to say a word to me, just inbox me in whatsapp +31685949173 or facebook Secrettly unknown.

I've been fiddling around with this without avail for a couple of days. The solution for me turned out to be uninstalling the Intel Audio in Device Manager -> Sound, video -> Intel Display Audio, disable. Problem solved.
