Windows 7 - sirius stream stopping screensaver

i listen to sirius online, and, in vista, there was no problem getting the screensaver up, but now, the screensaver doesn't come up while the stream is playing. if the stream is stopped, the screensaver works just fine. i specifically use "Stream_On". i've also tested it with the regular online player at sirius.com with the same results. i had sound problems when i first installed Windows 7, but i have since resolved them. it seems to me that the online audio stream is keeping the computer active not allowing the screensaver to trip. the screensaver starts up when using itunes and any other player that doesn't specifially disable it.
