Try to reinstall your video
drivers, if that doesnt work check the following:
1) Right click your desktop's background.
2) Click Screen Resolution
3) Look at Display.
Does it say anything, or is it blank? What if you click on the arrow? What does the list show?
If it is blank you are experiencing the same issue I was going through last week. If I opened the Zune software, I would see the window as blank (perhaps it didnt detect any display to show the software) and WMP would not play videos. I almost reinstalled Windows 7 until I found out about it, and just went to nvidia.com and downloaded the latest
drivers for my 8600M. It has been completely fine ever since.
