    My HP ENVY 17-3090nr 3D Edition is refusing to install Audio Driver


    Hello,

    My HP ENVY 17-3090nr 3D Edition is having problem with a newly installed windows 7. No back up, no recovery because i formatted my hard disk the hard way. So after installing some drivers, the audio driver keeps saying " THE HARDWARE DETECTED IS NOT SUPPORTED BY THIS IDT SOFTWARE PACKAGE.

    I also went to device manager to update driver and still nothing. I NEED A BIG HELP HERE. It's beats audio. I urgently need to fix this.

    Beats Audio is only a software enhancement to the basic audio chip.

    The IDT is what is listed on the HP site. Are you downloading from there?

    There are Intel (motherboard) chipset drivers also listed. Download and install the Intel motherboard chipset driver first and then try to install the IDT audio.

    I did that already.... says the samething... Now i am trying to download the real recovery for my laptop from hp site because i have lots of corrupts files... maybe that is why is not installing

    A corrupt OS install can cause the problems you are having.

Every .MSI I try to run seems to fail installing, whenever I attempt to run one it comes up with "Windows Installer has stopped working...". Does anyone know of a way around .MSI install files so I could install my programs? Thanks, -DaveW
