NVIDIA Audio Deck volume permanently at zero

I have a custom built PC from a local computer shop, Ipurchased it just over a year ago. Last night I tried to play some music through iTunes but got no sound.
I tried the headphone socket and tried a USB set of headphones, still no sound.

When I go to the Audio Deck or the mixer the sliders are at zero, if I move the slider up it goes straight back to zero.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Gerald

The NVIDIA High Definition Audio is for HDMI. The PC audio is "VIA Audio" according to the Gigabyte site.

If that is not installed or corrupted, it is probably your problem. GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z77-D3H (rev. 1.0)

Also the "Speakers" (VIA Audio) should be set as the default audio playback device, in the Sound Panel Playback Panel.

Also, you do not need two NVIDIA High Definition Audio's. If that what is listed in the Device Manager that can also be potential issue.

    Many thanks fireberd,

I tried downloading and installing the driver but with no luck, I then hunted through my cache of discs and found the GIGABYTE install disc, removed the driver and installed from the disc. Now working okay.
