    No sound - help please!

Hi. I've installed Windows 7 on my VAIO. All seems fine but when I try to watch anything on YouTube, or listen to the radio, it's silent.
The volume indicators say it's playing at full volume, but it isn't.
Anyone have any ideas what I need to do please?
    Thanks
    Stephen

Let's just check the basics here: Is the speaker cable plugged in?
What sound card do you have? Can you please fill out you system specs?

I don't have a speaker. I listen through the speakers on my notebook pc. All was fine with VISTA!

Sorry, I am something of a computer idiot. I have a Sony VAIO notebook, which used to be Vista and is now Windows 7. I'm afraid I have no idea how I find out all the various technical things asked for. I just turn it on, find what I want to watch, and press Play! Only now there is no sound.

Go into Control Panel>Sound and post a screenshot. Instructions for posting a screenshot can be found here.

Now what happens is you click on the speakers and hit Properties? Please post a screenshot.
